  • Hui = (noun) gathering, meeting, assembly, seminar, conference. Singular, Plural, Possessive presents the correct use of the Māori kupu (word) ‘hui’. In te reo Māori, the letter ‘s’ does not exist, yet it is commonly attached to nouns in the Pākehā (English) way, unfortunate colonization of language. 2019 is the International Year of Indigenous Languages.
